Tom Watson Golf Course
A links education, built into a Japanese pine forest.
Watson brought the ground game to Miyazaki: fescue-edged fairways, run-up approaches, revetted bunkers and greens that reward a putter from thirty yards out. After a week of soft, aerial Japanese parkland golf, it is a genuinely different test — and ten minutes from Phoenix.
Why we book it
- Designed by Tom Watson, his only course in Japan
- Firm, running turf built for the ground game
- Plays beautifully in a coastal wind
A short par four you can drive — if you accept the revetted pot bunker guarding the only sensible line.
