Kawana Hotel Golf Course — Fuji Course
Japan's most photographed golf hole, on a cliff above Sagami Bay.
The Fuji Course runs along the cliffs of the Izu Peninsula with the Pacific on one side and, on a clear winter morning, Mount Fuji framed behind the clubhouse. Alison's 1936 routing is a pre-war classic: short by modern standards, but shaped by the wind, the fall of the land and a set of bunkers that still dictate every tee shot.
Why we book it
- Ocean views from fifteen of the eighteen holes
- Pre-war Alison bunkering, kept close to the original shapes
- Played as a stay-and-play round from the Kawana Hotel
A downhill three-shotter bending along the cliff edge toward the sea — the view most visitors come for.
Best months
November – April, when the air is clearest for Fuji views
Visitor access
Reserved as part of a stay at the Kawana Hotel. Book 4–6 months ahead for weekends.
